sounds like a ninja mission!! I'll be lucky if I can make it out of bed in time for a sunrise launch. I'll be in a lime green Stealth 14.

Ok, so here's exactly my plan of attack for this trip.
Arrive 3:00am to set up Under almost full moon paddle out Find 70-80 ft water off the point, set down two dropper loops with two dead squid on each. Target: WSB Moon sets at 3:58, first light at 5:11. So be prepared for an hour of pure darkness; i.e., back-up flashlight, glowstick, etc. First light reeling in to make bait, looking for mini-macks and sardines One heavy pole has dropper loop at bottom for WSB, one heavy pole fly-lined dine or mini-mack for yellows, and med/heavy pole with surface iron to throw it there are sightings of yellows. All while scoping out for birds/bait. Attempt this until I can't keep my eyes open or kayak afloat from dead fish piled up on it(). And most likely cursing at seadogs. I think there are three of us so far. Hope to see the rest of you out there at sunrise. Cheers |
