Finally, Kicked a little Butt
Finally broke my streak and landed a legal Butt...it was only 23" but it still came home for dinner. I guess I could have gone to Dana or Cabrillo last month, but I wanted to catch one out of Redondo. The lil Butt bit a sardine in 35' of water...lots of shorts and raked baits, so I guess they are finally moving in and eating.
We wrapped the Halibut slices in Prosciutto Ham and stuffed it with Basil leaves then cooked it in Olive oil with some garlic cloves...Delicious!!! Larry has a load of Anchovies that he should be bringing down to the Redondo Bait Receiver, today or tomorrow...that should really be some fun to fish with some Chovies since the Sardines have been so Big. Trolled up a small Barrie and a Calico on the Owner Cultiva plug at the harbor entrance yesterday also. Good Luck Jim / Saba Slayer |

Wow. Did you find this guy inside the harbor?
I've caught nothing but Mackerel, Bonito, and Bass inside. |
