After pounding sand forever in the local water for nada, all it took was a change of scenery. This was the winning fish at the March Baytubers Tournament. Got a 9lber first, then released a 7lber and finally this fish decided to make my day. Halibut Location: Dana Point Date: 3/26/12 Bait: Horse Sardine Length: 37" Weight: 24 pounds WCW 2011....No Mas

Awesome fish Don! And a tourney winner to boot.
I was fishing LJ that day and as I was losing my mind looking at my finder's blank screen, my gut was telling me you were going to find a nice one up in DP. I was waiting at the Launch this morning for you???? Don't worry, you didn't miss anything except a cold breeze and a building swell. My hat's off to you. You're a fishing machine. Thank god you live 100 miles away from LJ.
