Cherry Beach WED

Late decision to fish so of to Cherry Beach launch at 7:30 to flat calm conditions. Headed out to the nearest Island and the wind started out of the south before I got there. The water is stil clear to 3ft so worked the drop off the Island picking a sandie here and a calico there.

Practicing Photo shots with the trusty old FE 170 in the waterproof housing, the one setup I haven't killer only 6 megapixels though with the sun it takes some real good pics.

The fish came on the Uni Buttered flukes and 3 inc Big Hammers in uncle Carl color on 3/8 heads. 3 calicos and 8 sandieswith the biggest

Only got a few passes on the dock side with great luck then the barge and transport boat arrived at the same time so fished the outside corner anchoring with the kelp stingers for 30 minutes till the wing started throwing up white caps and headed in.

Great morning and fun fishing

I have a question about cherry beach. Were do you launch at? I also want to thank you for taking time with me at the FHS you helped me pick out my wheels. I have not had a chance to test them as of yet but will soon.

Always a pleasure to help. The launch is from the beach lot at the foot of Cherry Ave about 40 feet to the water and protected from big swells by the breakwater. There are meters that take quarters at 25 cents for 15 min I usually spend 6 bucks to fish there. There is structure in about 20 feet outside the swim area that fill with life later in the year bass and halibut.

Sweet that is 1000 yards from my house. Next month I am going to be spending some cash getting my kayak all set up for fishing bait tank and fish finder. Get off work around 3 pm should be fishing by 4. Life is good.
