Does hull color really matter?
Ive heard people talk about certain hull colors being less than optimal for fishing. Would a brighter color hull be a hindrance when fishing? I don't think it would or should spook the fish but I've heard contrarian opinions. If this is a stupid topic, sorry for that, but I'd love to hear from you all on this. Thanks guys!

The main reason kayaks are offered in a variety of colors is the same reason cars are not all the same color. Personal preference is the key factor in choosing your kayak color. Bright colors appeal to the safety conscious, neutral colors appeal to those trying to blend in with their surroundings. Neutral colors hide scratches and scuffs better and are easier on the users eyes. Individuality, makes up a big part of the kayak angler.

Yeah. Was thinking yellow or red just for the visibility factor. Someone told me that the yellows and reds weren't as fishy as other colors. I laughed at it but then the
Obsessive/compulsive in me had to ask the guys that are "in the know".

I 'm not sure why, but as soon as I switched to a Caribbean blue Revo I started to catch more fish. Prior kayaks were mango and red. True Story

Rumor has it that red and yellow are more attractive to the tax man

I like my yellow yak for visibility. No problems with the taxman yet either.
