Fished Irvine

Roby and I fished Irvine today.

The weather was summer like and just perfect.

The fish were biting for shore bait fishermen, powerboats and kayakers alike. We landed 5 fish between the two of us and lost a few.

We got all our fish on the troll, the ticket today for us was green/ firetiger rapalas or something like it.

We picked up most of our fish mid to late morning.

Favorite part of the day: I watched a 24-26 foot powerboat slowly troll right at Roby's kayak who was stopped and working on retying a lure or something. All four people on the boat were facing aft watching their rods. NO ONE was looking in the direction of the boat travel. Roby moved his ass just in time. When I told they guys that it would be great if one of them was actually driving the boat, their reply was
"The biggest boat has the right of way."

Yeah, it was a great day and there were alot of fish caught today. It seemed everyone had 2 or three trout. Too bad we couldn't get a limit....

$22 to get in.

No license needed since it's a private lake.

No fees to launch kayak.
