Skunked DP 11/13/11
Well, on the positive side the sardines are the biggest I have seen all season and the water was clear given the rain the other day...
On the negative side, the swell coming out of the harbor was big....big enough that all I could do was troll and keep her pointed into the wind...made it out to the green buoy to the north...turned around and made turns to get back into the harbor...fished the drift from the harbor entrance to the gas dock...nothing Fished the harbor mouth south until the swell beat me up...nothing, Harbor mouth, nothing Great day on the water, just no fish..... |

Sometimes when it's a real washing machine out there,
the finbait seek the shelter of the marina--and the halibut follow. Use the wind, swell and current to find stacked bait inside the marina. That's one good use of the big dino's, the frying pan's another. Good Luck. |
