According to my friend (Instructor at the Drop Zone in Perris) skydivers believe there is no such thing as a "perfectly good airplane"!

I think I will keep my butt safely planted on terra firma!

When I was getting ready to do my first jump the instructor told us "Your friends will ask you 'why would you jump out of a perfectly good airplane,' well once we get out there and you see all the hundred mile per hour tape holding the plane together you'll be able to tell them 'the damn thing wasn't perfectly good!'..."

I was going up for a jump one time and the weather closed up on us and we had to come back down and land...that was so much scarier than jumping out...jump planes are meant to go up with a number of people and come back down with just the pilot...
