Free Lures
I got a hold of these and was wondering what was the best way to get hooks on them.

Tackle shops sell the spilt rings and trebles but I don't know the whole process I am sure someone will comment on it. I was at Angler's Choice yesterday and saw the rings for sure!

you can buy the rings and a micro torch to braze them on the lures.

Here is an old link on making weld/brazing rings for your jigs.

If you don't want to braze you can use Owner Split Rings, they're heavy duty and not too big.
-You will need a small Split Ring Plier to open the split ring, these things are very strong and one slip will embed a hook into your hand. I use either Owner X-66 Trebles, or a #5 Gorilla Ringed Hook (as a single) ----------------------------------- Owner also makes a Solid SS ring that can be slid onto a split ring. I use this smooth Solid Ring to tie on my mono. There is one other option to install a single siwash hook. Mustad makes a #7 and #8 SS Siwash with an open eye that can be closed down around your existing ring. -Cut off your old worn out hook and install a new SS siwash...very easy to do. The hooks are sold as a single piece for .77 cents and .88 cents respectively. The solid ring on the knife jig is a #7.5 rated at 450 lbs. and an Owner split ring. The #5 Gorilla Hook has a much stronger ring than other ringed gorillas.
