Cabrillo Beach

Listed as one of the four dirtiest beaches in LA County.

You know what they say the dirtier the beach the bigger the butts.

Or is it the bigger the butt the more dirtier it is lol

Cabrillo's Outer Beach water quality consistently grades an A

Cabrillo's Inner Beach water quality consistently grades an F

The L.A. County Department of Public Health recommends avoiding contact with the water in LA Harbor
and certainly don't fish there, and if you do
catch and release only!

But with all the dredging, filling and construction that has been going on, the fishing is poor at best anyways

There are so many other safe and productive places to catch fish why even bother launching in Pedro?

I would say it's best just avoid the place completely...

Don't know what their criteria were for grading beaches, but as Don said the inside beach takes its lumps. The prevailing winds in that area blow a large amount of plastic and paper waste away from picnic goers into the water.

I been wanting to hit pallos verdes for some time now. I am just waiting for the surf to be low enough because the waves break pretty far there.
