Thought I'd share some rods I've built lately...
I probably spent 6- 8 hours working on it, and in the end it is not as straight as I’d have liked, oh well, it was my first rod anyways. (I have since built a bunch of other rods) All I need to do now is figure out how to tie a Turk’s head, and it will be finished. The second rod is a Calstar GRFTR 700xl. I am wrapping it in Mexican (or in my case Italian ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mexican Rod ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

If anyone is on the fence about a custom rod/ repair, I'll vouch for Tyler. He does great work and is a stand up guy.
Now if I can only decide which calstar blank to buy..... ![]() |

Thanks Josh!
The sooner you choose that blank, the sooner you can kill fish with it. ![]()
