June Lakes loop ⛰️
June Lake was empty of fish - kayaked the entire coastline early morning for nada. Some motorboats were digging deep with downriggers. Did not see anybody catch. Silver Lake was a disappointment as well (sorry Saba Slayer ![]() We managed to get some good native trout in other lakes however. Like the Golden/Rainbow hybrid below top. This fish had some "gold nuggets" inside, like dispersed roe, never seen anything like it. Sorry did not take pictures. Overall - beats the ocean. Nice weather (got some frost on the tent though @ Silver @ dawn), no mosquitoes and no fire smoke which is a big 🍀 these days in the Sierras. Last edited by govomit; 10-01-2021 at 11:22 AM. |
