Back to the 'buts
Slow until about 8:30, when we finally seemed to be getting the rakes we were looking for. Soon after, Julie comes up with this 14 lber on a sardine: ![]() Not too long afterward, Aaron manages this 9 lber on a mackeral: ![]() Besides these two which were kept, Aaron C&Rd a 23 incher. Plus, we had a few short 'buts, and a few spotties and sandies all released. Landed the 'yaks about 12:30PM. Here's the beach shot with our double score: ![]() Beautiful day, not much wind, and boat traffic was light considering the holiday tomorrow.

You two are always catching one kind of fish or another. Where did you launch from? Good report.

Thanks, everyone.
Phil, we launch from Lawrence St, but parking can be tough. Most of the streets are marked NO PARKING 8:00AM-???PM, except weekends and holidays. Andy, yeah we each got a $5 scoop of 'dines.

Noticed one fish had eyes on the right side while the other had eyes on its left side. What's with that :?: :!:

California Halibut can be either right-eyed or left-eyed. |

They start out with eyes on either side and one moves to the other side as they grow.
