Rapala RSDS-50 - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Waterâ€™s Edge

I have a Rapala digital scale and the weight is off by a whole lot, we're talking 15-20 pounds. My understanding is that as soon as you turn it on it should reset to zero but that's not happening. Who has this this scale and has encountered this problem?

Worst money I ever pissed away.......... Never again....
Mine was off by between 2-8 pounds every time. I just threw in the towel and now use the certified scale at the market....

I've had the RGSDS-50 for about 4 years. It is always within 1 oz. of certified weight. Maybe return yours and try this one?

I just found the receipt, going to stop by SportChalet after my fishing trip tomorrow. I bought it July 5th so I'm sure I will not have an issue getting it exchanged.
