As far as a sail, and fishing I agree it may be too much hassle, but Gman
Gerard does it, seems to work well in the wind, it just looks like an aweful lot of equipment...nice Hali BTW,
Matt didn't we tell you to wear your floaties when you go out?? lol

I could of made it back in probably an hour or two later, but Erick offered to help keep the blue beast in a straight line. Thank you Erick!!! I didn't have to push the limits on my guns of steal.Which meant if i needed to rest for a couple of secs i didn't have to regain 200-300 yards.
That wind was brutal, its not the first time i been caught in wind like that, but it was definetly the worst.
That San diego mission bay trip was easier compared to this wind.
This is why I HATE Cabrillo Beach with a passion, its not my first choice, its really my last choice...
I like fishing Malibu, Santa Monica, Marina because the wind comes in from the west, so after a long day of fishing the wind pushes me back to the landing spot. But cabrillo I ALWAYS!!! ALWAYS!!! have to fight that damn wind comming back. But as i always said... If i want to go to those special spots i have to pay the price.
I really like my X-factor, because i never had a hobie. So i can't miss what i never had. On the good side i do lose more calories paddling. Which is very good for me!!!
