65# Spectra minimum (works like a chain saw in kelp), with 25# to 30# 6 ft Flouro leader ( I prefer Blackwater) to 1/0 or 2/0 ringed circle hooks by Owner. Remember that a decent size fish can bend the thin wire hooks. Uni to Uni from spectra to flouro... or be lazy and use a Swivel like me (lost a nice c-bass recently to using a swivel, maybe a bad idea...
) the nice thing about rigging this way is the ease of switching to a different target by just changing out leaders, which can be premade at home.
