I never thought of this as an advantage before. Next time my Mirage drive gets hung up in the kelp, I will try to count my blessings rather than curse my bad luck.
Of course if you are trying to get from point A to B and kelp is in the way, riding a Hobie can sometimes be a disadvantage.
