That is a clean install job Andy. In response to your original question, I haven't really ever noticed that they are too shallow. But maybe now that you pointed it out to me, it might bug the crap out of me. But, most of the time I do use them with the Hobie Rod extension inserts, just to keep the reel a little higher off the water, because the area where my rod holders are rides a little low in the water. So, now my question to any revo/outback guys is, are the rod holder depths different on different models? I've heard people complain about this lots, but it never has been an issue for me. I have an adventure, and my rod holder depth is 8". Lets just get the innuendo out on the the table now. How deep is your rod holder
