My son has been giving me the business to bring him along when I go out. I was considering renting a tandem for the day to see how he holds up, but wasn't crazy about the idea of lugging that big hunk of plastic around.

I have seen pictures of the front hatch cover that is can be a seat for a kid. I have a Trident 15 with the cross lock hatch. Is there a replacement hatch for this that I can use?

I am about 175, how heavy a kid should I put on the front?
