Retired from kayak fishing now......

But I still have my cobra fish and dive covered up with a canvas tarp. And no stranger to the Suzuki 2.5 a game changer for my canoe. My first wsb from a kayak came in July 2012 at night in my scupper pro and after losing the first hookup in the kelp my introduction to 65lb braid.
From squidco on a new dawa sealine reel.
As I think back I can remember losing 2 on squid first run into the kelp and gone second wsb I had it up to my kayak and went to adjust my head light on my head so I could see what it was and it bolted on me losing that one and yes it was a wide open squid run you could grab them out of the water with your hand. I finally hooked up again and now I was ready gained my wings you might say, because I was a rookie kayak fishermen coming in to la Jolla from running all the outer banks with my 75hr mercury on a 20ft cuddy cabin bought the motor used with 110 hours on it. And 2 rebuilds I was pretty much
done offshore fishing had the scupper pro but didn't use
it. Because I had a boat. When salt water gets to the
bearing on the crank you get a funny vibration.
Feeling like the hi banks drifter coming into la Jolla the new guy but native San Diegen stay tuned I'll get back to that night on my first wsb.
