I had the same mindset regarding my old spare drive, but now that the parts inventory is drying up, I want to sell it. I have 2 sets of kick-ups, in 4 years of use, so far no issues. The non-kickup 180's are the ones that failed(spine replacement $300) after 6 months of use. It is a good thing that Hobie has warranties. Keeping it is the right choice.
