Bunch of my Kayak/Fishing buddies could only fish till noon. And one wanted to show us his tricks to fish the bay.... So he rented a Skiff at the Pavilion.

Basically his rig is a drop-shot rig with a Lead-Head at the bottom and 30" above that is a hook with a plastic jig hooked thru the nose. Note: using very small Lead-Head hook and small hook above.

These are fish All caught on the SAME Rig on 6# line.

We fished from the bait receiver all the way to Balboa bridge.
