I found a Surf To Summit bag at a local kayak store in the bargain box last week for $20, so I grabbed it.

Seems like nice quality. Zipper at the small end for easy cleaning and draining.

Mounted to the bow with 4 "footman's loops" for the Velcro straps. (package of 6 for $4.50.) Low profile. Easy on, easy off, and easy access to the front hatch if necessary.

Before I bought Surf To Summit for $20 I was thinking about a Reliable brand fish bag. $180 is more than I have in my pocket at the moment and for the foreseeable future.

Otherwise, I use a burlap sack and keep it wet for cooling by evaporation. Often, simple is the best. It's always worked for me on the cattle boats. Why not?

The kill bags are bulky and carrying enough ice to keep them cool is heavy. Plus it's more work to clean out the fish slime when we get home. On second thought, maybe I'll sell my kill bag while it's still clean and fresh. $90 to anyone who wants it

My life is already filled with too much clutter. Too many toys, too little time.
