Thanks for the report. Great fish and awsome kayak. Love the Cal poly colors.

Nice how do you like the Kraken?

It sure came out nice. Even the paddle looks like a custom fit. The people at Jackson Kayak have big hearts. It's a copy of the Kraken they auctioned to benefit the James Lebowitz Memorial Cal Poly Pomona Scholarship. His signature is molded in.
Many, many thanks also to OEX Mission Bay for the outstanding rigging job. None better, and great people too.
This was its maiden voyage. It meant a lot to deck that tail. I've spent time on a huge number of fishing kayak makes and models. They all have their strengths and compromises. I love the Kraken's high and dry seat. It's stable and spacious and incredibly well thought out for SoCal. No more pump dragging.
I'm still getting used to the elevated paddling position and the Kraken's substantial weight. Coming in the other day, I instinctively took a couple back paddles to let a wave pass. I'll have to muscle up next time. It wasn't enough, leaving me to punch out in waist deep water. The Kraken some effort to get out the hole, but once it is going it is solid and assertive.

Outfitted very nicely too. I LOVE the colors.
Q. Is it possible to get a few JAL stickers?
Can I/we make a donation for a for a couple?

You know it Cabo! I'll have stickers at the
Sept 12 tournament at LJ. They are still on sale at
YakAttack if you don't want to wait. They are much better at mailing stuff than I am.
