Seriously, the first shot didn't even puncture the skin. He just had a little scratch. My gaff is sharp too... I dunno. If anything scallywag would sabotage me and grind the tip off it.
That being said, a flying gaff is not a bad idea, for when I rope an 80lb BFT this season on a rapala. you heard it here first.
