There really is no difference, I scope it out every time and it is the same waves, height, frequency, etc. There is no point to drag your yak down the beach for no real difference. On the same note if you were to launch north of the new launch area (which you are not supposed to do anyways) then there is a significant difference in wave height. Last time I went out I had a dude yelling at me "move south" for a minute or two and just south of me the waves were the same as where I was at.
