I have the ForEverlast Pliers and they hold up to kayak use very well. I've had them for almost a year and no rust yet.

The pliers themselves are not tough though. When I bend down barbs or hooks, the grooves in the pliers began to "eat away." The braid cutter is getting dull and I should replace it soon.

Overall, I like these set of pliers.

I have used the Boomerang Pliers as well (link below). These did not handle normal kayak use at all and I had to trash them in about 6 months.

The Newer Boomerang Pliers look decent, but I've never tried them.
