I saw a tandem Oasis yellow take off from the surf (two teenagers I think). one was on the back seat and the other was holding the kayak steady and perpendicular to the waves. I thought for sure they were going to flip, but the kid on the kayak kept paddle (did not see any mirage drives) and the other was swimming behind the kayak until they passed the breaks. Afterwhich he climbed aboard the kayak and then paddle to the kelps!
I guess that's one way to do it...hope to hear some report...
