Yeah... just buy two new drums and an axel. It will take 10 minutes to replace. Why spend $500 on a drive?
Also, since you have this problem. I wouldn't be surprised if the shaft running through your fins has a lot of wear on them too.
I take apart and clean my drives once a month.
