Awesome job on the first legal one and first time hooping.
My very first hooping experience was one year ago. I went like 5 times and got 2 for the season. I have only been kayak fishing for 14 months now. There is a fun learning curve that gets more fun each time you go out.
This year I have gone five times and have 21 legals. I have also caught many fish including one WSB.
You are right about what you can learn on these forums.
Time on the water tho, is by far, the best teacher ....
