I fish an AI in LJ and in SD Bay. I don't have mine tricked out even close to the guy from the vid though. Obviously the AI is extreamly stable and in calm water or normal swells I can stand up and fish fairly well. Chop or boat wakes keep me in the seat. I don't use the extended trampoline in the ocean but in the bay I extend 1 and put most of my gear in it. Also if you sail you have to keep your rods horizontal to clear the sail. I have never surfed launched with the trampoline out. And unrolling it compleatly from the seat would be tough. When I sail in the ocean I strap the rods to the amma supports. I notice in the vid he just has one of the ammas on the kayak. I have never tried this. And again if you sail you will need both. So far the ammas and supports have not gotten in the way of fighting fish. I just slide forward a bit so the rod clears the amma support. The hobie bait tank doesn't work in the AI because the rear amma support stops the bait tank from sitting over the scupper holes. When I do take the sail I roll it up and strap it along the hull then deploy it when needed. Mostly I peddle out befor the wind comes up and then get a free ride home. I load the kayak like I've seen guys load a PA; just get the front up on to the rack then push it up from the back. So far it has worked OK. I've never been a sailer but I gotta say the AI is fun under sail. Long reply but thats what I've noticed about fishing the AI. Mike
