It really depends on how much your willing to spend, I went to west marine in point loma and talked with Rolly(a fellow BWE member) and he suggested to me a 8' seeker inshore blue II, I love it so far however, I havnt caught anything over 20LBs on it yet but this rod has great sensitivity and real good strength come on its a seeker can't go wrong.
