cdm report 3-26
 

went out saturday 3-26 launched about 2 pm at newport harbor paddeled out into sloppy conditions hit kelp line at cdm for one sandy and three calicos.all caught on war jig heads with skirts and big hammer swimbaits.cant wait till it warms up

Glad to know someone is taking advantage of that area. It's been almost 2 months since I've been on the water. Maybe next week. Did you try the boilers at all? I usually have much better luck on them compared to the kelp.

can you please describe the lures, maybe a photo, i'm just gettin back into this, thx

i did not hit the boilers it was a little slopy out there and i stayed away from them on this trip.maybe next weekend.
