Lights at LJ ?
Hey guys,
I am going out very early in the morning on Sun. 2am (thats early for me, don't laugh:) What do you guys use to light up your yak and see at night? I want to see but more importantly want to BE seen. Headlamps, flashlights, glowsticks? Any advice would be apreciated. Thanks, Matt |
I just use my headlamp,i turndown the light on sonar so my eyes can acclimate a little bit, solas tape works well if you want to be seen, it has a nice reflection.
good luck |

I'll know for sure by about noon tomorrow. If I go I'll shoot you a pm with my phone number. |
Over the last few months I have been out during the early hours 2 or 3 am in a boat.
I can tell you for sure that the kayaks are hard to spot even with a light, and I'm looking closely for them and know where you would be fishing. I use this light from WestMarine because it shines 360 deg. and does not ruin your night vision. -I clip it on the Top of a rods for maximum visibility. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...classNum=11075 |
Im going to be out there around 2:30 I might see you out there im going to be on a yellow big game prowler.
