Bait to Big? Nah.
1 Attachment(s)
I have found out lately that big baits result in some pretty aggressive strikes. This 35lb. YT last week smashed a 13" mack on the surface, sounded like a seal exploded on my bait, when i set the hook i thought it may have been for a few seconds.
With all the Greysuit talk lately I wonder what kind of strikes you could get flylining a YT. |
nice tail:)

I once heard a wise man say, "big bait, big fish."

I've seen big bluefin that wouldn't touch anything other than the dinkiest anchovies we could toss and I've seen 10 lb yellows hit monster greenbacks. Anybody who says they know is wrong unless they saw it with their own eyes yesterday.

What happened yesterday?

It's all in the moment ,got a black sea bass on a lobster one time .soaking a dine on the bottom one time ,felt weight, started to reel up and then Bamm,15 min later 3 1/2 ft bsb ,went to remove hook and 2 lb bug tangled up in line in mouth ,ooohh the buy catch of fishing really gets in the way some times, a double C&R .This was down in Mex ,could have kept both but better safe than sorry. Some fish just want one meal instead of a bunch of appetizers. The bigger the bait the bigger the fish
