San Diego Bay 7-25
 

Fished SD Bay Sunday morning from Shelter Island, managed four sandies and two nice chunky spotties all on swimbaits w/ unibutter. Soft takes, often just raised the rod and found a fish there. Bite tied at the top of the incoming tide.

try j st., lots of spotties down there. i set up over by the cays and let the afternoon wind push me back towards the marina, check the tides though, then you will be set.

fished with ghost shrimp off the bali hai and over by the fuel dock and everything we caught would just mouth the bait slightly, and we'd have to gently set the hook to make it stick. interesting
