ST. AMANT, La. -- A boy from western Louisiana made the catch of a lifetime during his first fishing trip.
Nine-year-old Cody Louviere and his grandfather went fishing and kayaking Saturday.
Cody ended up catching quite a fish.
He pulled in a 52-pound, 50-inch long black drum and had to carry the big
catch in his small kayak.
Cody says he's glad he was anchored into his kayak.
He says otherwise, the fish may have dragged him into the water and he'd "probably be in Mexico by now."
