Newport Zoo
 

What a zoo outside of Newport harbor today! It felt like we were at the Indy 500 for boats. Never seen so many big ass boats rippen' around. We got caught in some serious boat wake traffic coming back into the harbor. Its bad enough going out on a weekend, its even worse going out on Memorial Weekend.

It was a crazy day out there but a good day of fishing and great weather!

I was there on sat. in my little skiff with the kids.All those boats really put the fish down too.

Wont bother going out this weekend, Newport is a zoo, it will be worse even today!

Went out today with my brother (wmbeusch) and Jeremy (92yj) and his brother Travis. Lots of traffic and those damn speed boats doing circles like the toilet was being flushed! Jeremy C&R a small bass and butt. Decided to go outside and fish the kelp beds to the south for some hard fishing. Farmed a small sandy and that was it for me. Still a nice day out on the water.

weekends are bad.... holiday weekends are terrible.

I'm lucky to be self employeed, and almost always fish Mon - Thur. :)

went out on the float tube,decided to get wet today....nice day kinda chilly tho,winds dident help! caught countless pig spottys and some sandies as well..my cuz caught a 26 inch hali and i hook up on fat ray...hell of a fight on 8 pound test! beers ,fishing and bbq'n. dosent get more american than that!
