I have a question about batteries
I want to purchase to batterys for my big game kayak
I have a 245 ds fish easy fish finder , and I also need one for my 6 gallon bait tank made out of a pet container. I basicly want to know what voltage and ampage do I need for my ffinder and bait tank. I plan on purchaseing them tommorow so I will appreciate some quick replies. |
sorry i couldnt get back to ya Larry, but your bait tank should run fine on a 6 volt battery.
get yourself a 6 volt 12 amp hour battery. your fihs finder should run on a 12 volt 8-12 amp hour |
I agree
You can probably find both at Fry's if one is close to you. They should have a 6V 10A and a 12V 7A. Those will work great.

I've seen battery boxes but are there any DIY battery enclosures that will work for less $$$. And, is it a good idea to do what CALI is doing by having separate batteries for FF and bait tank? :bigear: I was planning on one but now I'm rethinking the approach...

Here is a dumb question for someone who knows something about electricity. I know that you should not do it but what would happen if you charged a 6V battery at the 12V setting or vice versa?
