sd bay fishin questions??
 
hey guys! im new to the kayak fishing thing, just got one about a month ago and been out a few times here and there at the oside harbor and the lagoon in carlsbad but heard the bay is way better. anyone have any spots tips or tricks for a newbie?

I approached bay fishing as I would approach fishing a lake for smallmouth bass: focus on the structure in key locations, such as channels, points, etc...

Also, use the same lures.

The SD Bay is big and has lots of good fishing and launch sites.
Depending where you live some spots are closer than others.
You can easily launch from Shelter Island, a small beach next to the boat ramp, Glorittta Bay, or J Street marina in Chula Vista, on any given weekend you will see kayak fisher men at any of these locations.
