Palos Verdes City Counsel Meeting 10/13/09
It didn't go as well here as we would have liked
it was looking good for awhile then the "mayor" and the "mayor protem" said their peace which was something along the lines of "we don't have enough information" 5 voted 2 supported map #2 3 said we need more information so no resolution was made either way and no recommendations were made by the counsel... I think we will inundate them with emails and give them some of the "information" they need we didn't lose but we didn't get the endorsement we were looking for either a draw? Thanks to a kayak-angler who came all the way from San Diego:cheers1: I forgot your name but big time thanks for making the long drive. seeya on the 21st! |

Personally I think that is the decision all city councils should be making at this point including Malibu unless the councils have been involved since the beginning, have had representatives at the MLPA meetings and have been having these discussions about maps each round.
Thanks for going up there Doug. :you_rock: |
Nice work guys! :you_rock:

Sheet, up from SD? Thanks for coming up.
I wish that we could confirm the water discharge issues for Councilman Bird. Would the three councilman outweight the mayor and mayor pro tem? |

Sometimes a charter city can give those positions certain "powers" but in general law cities they don't amount to much. For example, I think a Mayor can call a "special" meeting but councilmembers cannot, regardless it will still take a majority vote to push anything on the adjenda. |
