Abreojos/Bocana 9/17-23
No matter how many times I tried, Photobucket would not let me post the pics in order so they are reversed....so start at the bottom.
I stopped at the ramp on the way home....beautiful as always but no wsb love. http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...eojos09063.jpg My last day I was going back out to the yf spot for a try at dorado but this swell hit and no way to launch and I had to leave the next day. Beautiful waves tho'...reminded me of Hawaii. http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...eojos09050.jpg http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...eojos09055.jpg My third day I launched about 300yds north of the boca at La Bocana and paddled straight out about a mile and luckily on top of a huge bait ball so thick my fishfinder read 6ft....as I was reeling in my rapala, I hooked the first yt....then it was jig a sardine, pin it on my bait rig and drop it below the bait ball for 2 more yt released (my first release...felt good). http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...eojos09025.jpg Sierra http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...eojos09003.jpg |

Road Trip!
I don't know which I'd want more, the tuna or that DOH right barreling point wave. I think maybe I'd have to pick the wave.
Two miles out over blue water middle o' nowhere? Hope you had a paddling buddy and a radio. |

Nice! Congrats on the YFT and everything else looks nice as well. Did you make ceviche with the Sierra? If you are ever looking for someone to head down with let me know. I have a Tundra (4x4), 6 weeks of vacation time per year, and lots of baja travel experience:)

You have to just go with it and let them land on your face, or you will go mad. Having a conversataion with a friend who had 3 flys on his eyelids and 2 in the corner of mouth was highly entertaining and a great way to pass the time when not in the water....... |
