At La Jolla a couple of weeks ago and saw a baby Mola swim under my kayak. Looked over the side and there was a school of them is the shadow of the kayak. That was the highlight of the day.:mad:

Those aren't baby whales. Correct term are baby wheels.:D

I went up to huntington harbor to pick up a boat and run it down to SD a few years ago in april and there were adults scattered on the surface almost all the way down.

Very cool. Thats the great thing about kayaking, you get so close to the wonders of creation. Most people just sit on their couch watching reality shows while we get to experience it!
