Perception Pilot 12 issue
 

So I bought a used Pilot. I've used it twice, but I'm having an issue where no matter how hard I pedal the kayak doesn't really seem to move. Has anyone else had this issue with a Pilot or know a reason this could be happening? Thank you

propeller shear pin?
 

I don't have a Perception but it sounds like you have a corroded propeller shear pin. The shear pin on my Topwater corroded and had to be replaced. They are very cheap so get a few for backup. Now I use anti-corrosion spread to prevent that from happening again.
