06/27 La Jolla
Got there late around 1030 when we pulled up the was a guy coming in with a yellow tail about twenty pounds. Headed out to the point of the three kayaks coming back In that I talked to one guy had a yellow and the other guy had a yellow and White Sea bass. Trolled Mack’s from 50-150ft back and forth west to East for six hours partly cloudy lots and lots of bait not really any birds. Had one really solid bite but couldn’t get a hook in it stripped line for about twenty seconds, I added tension and the line went slack. Coming back in there was a guy in the beach with a 49” yellow tail I’d say about 30-40lbs. Pulled a couple bass in on some of the smaller baits in the end.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...16fdb65408.jpg

Just crazy isn't it. I keep saying a lot of days "It's about being in the right place at the right time!".

I think I was going out when you were coming in. I remember passing a guy wearing trunks and a salmon shirt. You were with another guy I think.
