Ice fishin Utah 2182018
This report is about my second time traveling to Utah to visit my friend who suffered a brain stroke. More on him in the first report. Where I also did more ice fishing.
If there is an interest, I can post a longer one with more pictures; including Bryce Canyon and Zion National parks visit. I was more successful this time on the Strawberry Reservoir and even caught a small trout at the Fish Lake. If you read the first report, you may remember that after all the time and expense at the Fish Lake, I could not fish it due to lack of shelter and the storm. 1-A cutthroat trout or cutty. Such a beautiful fish. It was released since it was only 20” long. The slot limit is 15”-22” http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...b3405c2-me.jpg The hole is 10” for reference. 2-More of the same size as above were caught during this trip. http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...b285623-me.jpg http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...68ecd45-me.jpg 3-Different day and location, but similar fish. http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...79764de-me.jpg 4-This fish wiggled its way to the hole, before I could lift it up for a picture. http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...49aad49-me.jpg 5-This angler is one of the nicest persons among the many that I met at the Strawberry lodge. The owner of the lodge was another. He is one of the managers of the lodge along being a retired Game Warden. He is also a fishing guide. http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...94b6d71-me.jpg 6-He took me fishing on his days off without charge and let me use a snowmobile. http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...edbc4b7-me.jpg 7-Life (ice fishing the Reservoir) was much easier with the aid of a snowmobile. I will not go ice fishing if I cannot use a snowmobile anymore. http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...e89f8eb-me.jpg 8-One more me picture. http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...900c047-me.jpg 9-Lots of “Deer Crossing” signs on the road for good reason. http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...e32a0f2-me.jpg http://www.photos.inherentlydifferen...1108791-me.jpg Planning to go back for kayak fishing the “berry” as we regulars call it. And later in the winter for ice fishing. The End. |
