Greetings from Corpus

Well I’ve been in Corpus Christi since mid July and have been out in the bays a hand full of times. It’s different by fun. Your fishing really shallow waters 1-3” for reds and trout using topwater and plastics. I’ve been out past the breakers once. The sand bars, short interval waves and wind keep you to the bay a lot. Still it’s fun learning new ways to fish. Here are a couple guys I’ve pulled in. Tight lines

I lived in north Carolina for a year. Loved that shallow water fishing.
Beach bum, reds are great fighters. They're explosively fast and have amazing stamina for a white meat fish. If you hook a decent one in just a couple feet of water they'll take off across the flats like as bone fish. They're often very aggressive and will bite live bait, cut bait, and lures from the surface to the bottom. I miss those things. Mike |
I was stationed in Ingleside TX, caught nice redfish, hope you have lots of mosquito spray!
