La Jolla launch

Hi everyone, heading to La Jolla this Friday for my first trip ever. Heard beach launch is closed? Does anyone know if this is still true and if so where is best place to launch?

I think you can't drive your vehicle on to sand but u can still launch from there just have to walk your kayak to the beach
