Out of mission bay 6/25
 

Launched Dana landing 0530 went straight out of mission bay to 120 ft then worked my way south past sunset cliffs staying in 100-120 ft. Caught big greenbacks on the way out, but they didn't do their job as bait. Billions of tuna crab on ff. Ended up with 4 rockfish for dinner caught on squid. Kind of surprised they even bit because their mouths were full of tuna crabs. Very piggish rockfish if you ask me. Kind of choppy later in am but the wind and swells helped push me back to mission bay. Good day on the water.

I'm curious how the Tree Fish taste compared to other rockfish.

To me they all taste about the same....delicious!

They're one of the better tasting rockfish. Better than Boccaccios, and I dare say even reds.
