Stones anybody?
 

Got me a decent sized halibut over Memorial Day weekend and decided to pull the stones. First time I have ever pulled'm on a halibut...I will definitely pull'm from now on, check it out.

Where are the stones? Physiology behind it?

They are located in the head, they are also known as otoliths. They have to do with the fishes hearing and balance. More commonly taken from white seabass, halibut have'm too, they're just smaller.
